How Louis Vuitton, Tiffany, Burberry, Prada, & More Define the World of Marketing
Since their inception many years ago, luxury goods from the likes of Louis Vuitton, Tiffany, Burberry, Prada, Gucci, and more have been under almost constant fire from those unwilling or unable to spend ~$500 on something that fits in their pocket. Of course, for those who can (and do), there is a bit of a disconnect between why, if they can afford it, they shouldn’t spend their money on something that makes them happy and those who can’t even begin to spend that kind of money on something they can find at Wal-Mart for $5.

For years, the “smart” car has been a staple of European city-living. The tiny cab for two rose to popularity shortly after its joint-venture introduction by both Mercedes-Benz and Swatch, previously known only for their luxury cars and luxury watches, respectively.

Mercedes-Benz is hard at work on phasing out its reliance on petroleum in a move that could leave its lineup gas-free by 2015. In the next several years, Mercedes will continue the ongoing development of alternative fuel technologies including electricity, fuel cells, and advanced biofuels. The multi-billion dollar plan is set to be delivered gracefully and could begin producing results as early as this year. Continued
